Chapter Two - This page intentionally left blank
The second chapter in this scrapbook is a bit touchy...it's about the breakup of my marriage. For a number of reasons, I am not going to post the pages I made about this. Although the colors are pretty, the design is nothing it would be a crime to keep from the light of day. In addition, the story is not a very happy one, and the pictures are somewhat personal in nature. Finally, out of deference for my ex-husband, whom I still respect and about whom I still care, I don't care to air our differences in such a public forum.
What I do want to say about the breakup, and the reason that there are pages about it in a scrapbook about Jeff and I, is that Jeff was there for me, as a friend, the entire way through it. Although his tendency to worry that he might be playing an active role in the demise of my marriage once led him to counsel me to accept a separation when what I really wanted (and what I had already asked for on two occasions) was a divorce, I don't feel that he is in any way responsible for the failure of my marriage. If there is any blame to be laid on anyone besides my husband & myself, it would most certainly fall squarely on the shoulders of another of my friends who shall here remain nameless...
Don't worry; as regards the scrapbook pages, you're not missing much. Just go on to the next post/layout!
